Note:

  1. Students should check the services offered by each division on their website first. There are a lot of services that have been changed to online platforms and each division has promoted how to get those online services on their own social media such as Facebook, Line, YouTube, etc. The online service is convenient, helps you save time and reduces your risk of being in close contact with others and gathering.
  2. MFU provided two types of insurance for all of the international students.

First type of insurance is accident insurance which is provided by the Student Development Affairs Division. You can ask for more detail with the staff in room no. 114, D1 building.

The second type is health insurance which is provided by the Global Relations Division.

The health insurance is provided according to your study plan: 2 -3 -5 years. In case that you have to study for an extra semester (over the regular study plan), you need to inform the staff by email: yaowapa.pho@mfu.ac.th.

A. Mae Fah Luang University Scholarship (Low-income household)
Scholarship detail :

  • Number of scholarship : Almost 500 scholarships/year
  • Scholarship Amount: 6,000 Baht/semester
  • Scholarship Coverage: 1 year (2 Semesters, total amount of 12,000 baht)
  • Process of Selection:
    The Scholarship Committee will conduct two rounds of interviews; the first round will be held at the School Office, the second round will be held at the Student Development Affairs Division.
    The Scholarship Committee will consider suitable awardees based on the interview, the student’s discipline, student activity participation, grades, and good behaviour.
  • Application period: there are two application period per year including
    1st round (March)
    2nd round (July - August)
    Note: Students must check the schedule of each process carefully with the Scholarship Section, Students Development Affairs Division because the schedule is quite strict.
  • Qualification of Applicants:
    Be currently enrolled as bachelor's degree student and come from lower-income household
    Have academic performance with a GPAX of at least 2.00
    Do not have a record of misbehavior in the REG system
    Regularly participate in volunteer and university activities
  • Scholarship Contract:
    The University will transfer the scholarship funds directly to the student’s scholarship account.
    The student must comply with guidelines applicable to MFU scholarship awardees.

B. MFU Partial Scholarship for an Outstanding Academic Performance Student (For Current MFU Students Only)
Scholarship detail :

  • Number of scholarship : Depends on committee’s consideration
  • Scholarship Coverage: Tuition fee for one academic year (1st and 2nd semester)
  • Process of Selection:
    The Scholarship Committee will consider suitable awardees based on GPAX, the student’s discipline, student activity participation, and good behaviour.
  •  Application period: March - May 2022
  • Announcement of result: July 2022
  • Qualification of Applicants:
    Be currently enrolled as an international bachelor’s degree student at MFU (all programmes)
    Obtain the outstanding academic performance with a GPAX of 3.50 or above
    Do not study beyond the time period of study specified in the programme
    Do not have a record of misbehavior in the MFU REG system
    Regularly participate in university activities and volunteer activities
  • Conditions: During the period of the scholarship, the Awardee shall:
    1. Work for MFU for not less than 60 hours per academic year,
    2. Report working hours at least 5 hours per month to the Global Relations Division before the 8th day of every month, otherwise he/she shall not be given his/her stipend,
    3. Pursue his/her study diligently and in good conduct,
    4. Comply with the rules and regulations of MFU,
    5. Participate regularly in MFU’s extra-curricular activities,
    6. Update with MFU’s news and announcements,
    7. Submit his/her academic record of each semester to the Global Relations Division within one week after academic record announcement,
    8. Remain grade point average (GPAX) of 3.50,
    9. Not apply for other scholarships without permission from the MFU scholarship committee,
    10. Not change the study program, and
    11. Not resign from MFU without getting permission from the scholarship committee. If not, the Awardee shall repay the full amount of the scholarship to MFU within three (3) months. Failure to comply with the condition shall lead to prosecution.

Guidelines for Organisers
Organisers need to:

  1. identify separate entry and exit points, conduct temperature screening, inform participants to wear masks and put a sticker/label on participants who passed the screening;
  2. conduct contact tracing measures for example, using the application specified by the government or registration form;
  3. provide an adequate amount of alcohol-based hand sanitizer facilities;
  4. have physical distancing measures or signs reminding people to maintain a one metre distance and limit the number of participants to prevent crowding at the activity;
  5. provide adequate ventilation for indoor activity;
  6. clean all equipment, frequently touched surfaces and common areas before the activity starts. In case of having a large number of participants, organisers should increase the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting focusing on high-touch surfaces.

Guidelines for Participants
Participants need to:

  1. wear cloth or disposable face masks, keep a distance of at least one metre from each other, avoid yelling or talking loudly during the activity;
  2. frequently wash hands with soap and water or use alcohol-based hand sanitizer before and after participating the activity;
  3. not participate in the activity if you have traveled to the high-risk areas in the past 14 days.

The M for U (M4U) Centre is a one-stop service centre providing MFU students, faculty and staff members with convenient educational services and other services regarding registration, records, financial aid, and payment in one place.

Networking Space and Meeting Rooms:
Monday to Friday: 08.00 – 22.00 hrs.
Saturday and Sunday: 08.00 – 20.00 hrs.

Rules and Regulations for M4U Centre

  • Dress politely
  • Pets are not allowed
  • Food and beverages are not allowed (except drinking water bottles)

Before entering M4U, everyone must:

  • Wear a face mask
  • Measure body temperature
  • Wash hands with an alcohol-based hand sanitizer

While staying at M4U, students are required to:

  • Keep a distance of at least 1 metre from each other
  • Take care of your belongings, MFU is not responsible if it gets lost

Rules and Regulations for Meeting Rooms

  • Meeting room is available for meeting and/or group work, reading is not allowed.
  • Students need to make online reservation with 3 student ID number
  • The television remote controls can be borrowed at the Information Counter.
  • After using the meeting room, students need to turn off all electrical appliances and put the chair back to its place.

Simple Steps to Use M4U Centre Services (Office Zone) Smoothly

  • Select the service and receive a queue ticket at the kiosk
  • Wait and check the screen to view the queue status
  • Meet staff at the counter designated for handling the queue number
  • Rate the satisfaction with the service
